UFC star Max Holloway made it through 30 fights in the octagon without a single knockout loss to his name westernmagazine.org but he couldn’t avoid being rendered unconscious while flying with the US Navy’s Blue Angels recently.

Holloway, who fought a famous trilogy of championship bouts against Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski, posted the ysin.org video to his Instagram account on Wednesday, commenting beneath it: ‘Sadly my ‘never been KO’d’ streak came to an end.’

The footage shows Holloway, 30, climbing into an F/A-18 Super Hornet and laughing along while the aircraft goes through daring maneuvers.

Towards the end of the clip, as a tight turn sees him hit with severe G-forces, Holloway passes out for around five seconds before regaining consciousness.

Holloway remarked further on his Instagram post: ‘I was blessed with the opportunity to fly with @usnavyblueangels. Shoutout to number 7 pilot Griffin Stangel and everyone behind the scenes for the unreal experience. This is a once in a lifetime ride I will never forget. Thank you.’

Holloway is seen smiling during his joyride with the Blue Angels – but he wasn’t so happy later on during the acrobatic display

The Blue Angels also posted photos of the former featherweight champion, praising Holloway for the volunteer and charity work he does in his local community in Hawaii.

The Navy’s flight flight demonstration squad are renowned for honouring people who are ‘key influencers’ with joyrides in their aircraft.
